HIGHSIGHT

Find it. Own it.
Do it.

9th - 12th Grade Ministry

HighSight is the high school ministry of LCC Redding. More than a fun youth group, our mission is to lead students to experience restoration through Jesus Christ by helping them discover a restored identity, a restored purpose, and daily practices that shape their walk with Him. And yes, we have a lot of fun in the process.

From our weekly meetings to Life Groups, Houseboat Camp, backpacking trips, Inductive Bible Study retreats, and everything in between, every event and activity is designed to help students FIND IT, OWN IT, and DO IT. We’d love for you to join us!

HighSight meets during LCC Redding’s regular service times:
Sundays at 9 am & 11 am,  Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.

Sunday

We hold a high value for intergenerational worship and for the role parents play as the primary disciplers of their high school students. We also believe that Little Country Church is called to offer opportunities for the whole family to be ministered to in ways that best meet their needs.

With that heart, we encourage intergenerational worship while also providing a Sunday space designed specifically for high school students. Students begin in the main Worship Center during the 9am or 11am service for worship in song, then are released to Room C6 where they join their peers for Bible teaching and discipleship tailored to their age, culture, and dynamic.

Wednesday

Our Wednesday night services take place at the same time as the adult service and offer a space designed specifically for high school students. Each week includes simple, practical, and applicable Bible teaching that speaks to where students are in life. We also have student-led worship teams that help create an environment where students can learn to lead and worship together. Along with teaching and worship, we make room for prayer, conversation, and genuine connection so students can encourage one another and grow in their faith as a community. All students in 9th–12th grade are welcome.

Camps

Each year, HighSight puts on one camp and one retreat: House Boat Camp (HBC) and Fall/Winter Retreat. House Boat Camp is designed as an outreach opportunity, giving high school students in our community a chance to experience the love of Christ in a fun, welcoming, and memorable environment. It’s a week where friendships are formed, walls come down, and students who may not normally attend church get to see what following Jesus looks like up close.

Fall/Winter Retreat has a different focus. This retreat is intentionally built for students that already have a relationship with Christ, giving them time away from daily routines to go deeper with God. Through focused teaching, worship, and time with their peers and leaders, students are encouraged to strengthen their walk with Christ and grow in maturity and faith.

Ministry

HighSight plays an important role in the life of high school students during a season when faith, identity, and direction are being shaped in lasting ways. Through biblical teaching, worship, intentional community, and meaningful experiences, HighSight creates space for students to encounter Jesus and grow in a faith that becomes their own. Whether it’s gathering weekly, serving alongside others, or stepping away at camps and retreats, students are invited to discover who they are in Christ, why they were created, and how to live that out daily. HighSight exists to walk with students through these formative years and to support families by helping students build a strong, lasting foundation with Jesus and with one another.
