Worship God
Except for the nursery, all KidZone classes lead kids in worship through song and teach a Bible lesson. Like our adult and youth services, KidZone teaches through one book of the Bible at a time, alternating between the Old and New Testaments.
Learn About God
Because our lessons are age-appropriate, we don’t teach every verse of each book; instead, we highlight the sections kids can best understand. For example, our eleven lessons in Genesis summarize its 50 chapters into key teachings, such as Creation. We include chapter and verse references to help kids learn how to study the Bible. It takes about two years to teach through the entire Bible, after which we begin again.
All KidZone classes for ages two through 5th grade learn from the same passage each week, with the curriculum adapted for each age group. This means siblings receive the same core lesson at their respective levels, thereby encouraging conversation at home. Parents are welcome to request a copy of the curriculum for at-home discussion.

Camps & Classes
Throughout the year, we host a variety of fun and meaningful events for kids and families. From Vacation Bible School during President’s Week in February, to an eight-week class that helps 5th graders grow in confidence, faith, and readiness for what’s ahead, there’s always something exciting happening.
We also offer an overnight camp experience for incoming 4th and 5th graders in August, along with family-friendly events like skate nights, Ninja Coalition nights, and more. One of our favorite traditions is the KidZone Costume Party, held every Halloween at Little Country Church in Redding.
If you’d like to learn more about any of these events, we’d love to connect with you.

Safety & Security
To ensure the safety of our kids, everyone serving in the KidZone Ministry at Little Country Church must meet the following requirements: attend services at Little Country Church for at least six months, have an active Ministry Profile on file, pass a background check, and complete mandated reporter training. Our teachers are committed to your kids; they pray regularly for them and understand their responsibility to care for and teach them. We have a security system in place to protect your kids. Our goal is to create and maintain a safe, clean, and loving environment for the kids.
Parent & Ministry Partnership
We care deeply about every child in KidZone and want our classrooms to be safe, healthy, and welcoming for everyone.
To support that, we have a few guidelines in place.
To support that, we have a few guidelines in place.
Our commitment to kids.
Recognizing that God loves every kid, created them uniquely, and has a personal plan for them that includes His desire for a relationship with them, we have policies in place to maintain the health, safety, and peace of everyone in a KidZone classroom.
- We believe every kid is loved by God and created with purpose.
- Our policies help protect the safety, well-being, and peace of all kids and volunteers.
Partnering with parents.
Kids ministry is a partnership with the parent/guardian and their God-given assignment as the overseer of their kids spiritual formation.
- Kids ministry works best when we partner with parents and guardians.
- In some situations, we may ask a parent to stay with their kid during KidZone to ensure safety and support.
When a parent may be asked to stay.
We are committed to coming alongside families, but there are times when our ability to support a kid may be limited during services or events. If a kid is at risk of leaving the classroom without supervision, or if they repeatedly hit, kick, shove, or throw objects at others, a parent may be asked to complete a background check and remain with their kid until those safety concerns are resolved. Similarly, if a kid consistently disrupts the class by yelling, frequently interrupting, or being unable or unwilling to engage, a parent may be asked to stay. These steps help ensure a safe, welcoming environment where every kid can participate fully, while also protecting our volunteers.
- If a kid attempts to run outside or leave the classroom without supervision.

- If a kid consistently disrupts the class (such as frequent yelling or inability to engage).
- In these cases, a parent may also be asked to complete a background check.
- These steps help ensure every kid feels safe and able to participate, and they also protect our volunteers.
Illness policy
To prevent exposing others to sickness, kids with symptoms of illness (runny nose, diarrhea, fever, etc.), parents/guardians are asked to refrain from bringing their children to KidZone until they no longer have symptoms.
To prevent the spread of illness, please keep kids home if they have symptoms such as fever, runny nose, diarrhea, or similar signs of sickness.
Kids are welcome to return once symptoms have resolved.
