Widow Wood
for
Christ

The Purpose of Widow Wood for Christ is to first come alongside widows and then for those that are fully disabled to provide a cord of firewood for heat. It is cut and delivered to those who meet the following guidelines taken from 1 Timothy:
 

Honor widows who are really widows. But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety at home and to repay their parents; for this is good and acceptable before God. Now she who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.
-1Tim. 5:3-5

Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the number.
-1Tim. 5:9  

If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really widows.
-1Tim. 5:16

If you are a widow in need of firewood to help heat your home, we would love to hear from you. Submit a request and a member of our team will follow up with you to learn more about your needs and how we may be able to help.

This ministry happens because people are willing to give their time and skills. Whether you can cut and split wood, make deliveries, work in the wood yard, operate equipment, or simply lend a helping hand, there is a place for you.

Throughout the year, we make firewood available for purchase. These purchases help offset the costs of operating the ministry, including fuel, oil, equipment maintenance, saws, splitters, trucks, and trailers.

The costs of running this ministry can add up quickly, but Widow Wood for Christ is powered by volunteers and supported by generous people who believe in the mission. Your financial gift helps us continue providing firewood to widows in need.
