An invitation to generosity

An invitation to generosity

As the family of God around the world gathers to celebrate the birth of Christ, we are reminded of the incredible generosity of God in giving His Son to the world. The Advent season invites us to reflect on the promises of God, the gift of salvation, and the call to extend His love and generosity to one another.

This year, as a church family, we are bringing our focus to four opportunities to put that generosity into action. We invite you to prayerfully consider each opportunity and ask how God might be leading you or your family to participate. This page serves as a place to learn more about each opportunity and take a next step as we seek to reveal His love through our generosity.
Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse that shares the love of Jesus with children around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box is packed with items such as toys, school supplies, and hygiene essentials, then delivered through local ministry partners who share the Good News of Jesus Christ. For many children, these gifts are a tangible expression of God’s love and an opportunity to hear the message of the Gospel.

This Christmas, we invite you and your family to prayerfully pack a shoebox for a child in need. Choose a shoebox, fill it with thoughtful gifts, and consider the child who will receive it as you prepare each item. A suggested donation of **$10 per shoebox** helps cover shipping and other costs associated with delivering the boxes and sharing the Gospel. Please return your completed shoebox to the church by **November 15**.

Your participation can be about more than giving a child a gift. It is an opportunity to teach our own families about generosity, to pray for children around the world, and to take part in a ministry that connects gift-giving with evangelism and discipleship. Through Operation Christmas Child, we can help share the hope of Jesus with children and support opportunities for them to grow in their faith.

Angel Tree

Angel Tree is a Christmas ministry of Prison Fellowship that helps connect incarcerated parents with their children through the gift of Christmas. For a child, receiving a present given on behalf of a parent in prison can be a meaningful reminder that they are loved and remembered. Through this simple act of generosity, we have an opportunity to come alongside families experiencing the hardship of incarceration and share the hope and love of Jesus with them.

This Christmas, we invite you to prayerfully consider choosing an angel from our Angel Tree at church. Each angel represents a child and includes gift suggestions to help you choose something meaningful for them. You can participate by selecting an angel, purchasing the requested gifts, wrapping them, and returning them to the church by **December 6**. Our church family will then help ensure these gifts reach the children they are intended to bless.

As we give, we have an opportunity to do more than place a present under a tree. We can help communicate to a child that they have not been forgotten, support a family during a difficult season, and reflect the generous love of God in a tangible way. We invite you to ask God how He might use you or your family to bring encouragement and joy to a child this Christmas.

Reach India

Through Reach India Ministries, our church supports the work of Moses Chatla, an LCC missionary serving in India. This Christmas, we have the opportunity to help share the love of Jesus with children in remote villages, orphanages, and urban slums through Christmas gift boxes. Each box is filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and *The Greatest Gift* booklet, which boldly shares the Gospel. For some children, this may be their first Christmas gift and their first opportunity to hear about the love of Jesus.

We invite you and your family to prayerfully consider sponsoring as many Christmas boxes as God leads you to give toward. **Each box costs $10**, and our church family’s goal is to raise **$10,000 to provide 1,000 boxes**. By giving financially, you help make it possible for these boxes to be assembled in India and distributed to children during the Christmas season. Together, we can meet practical needs, share the hope of the Gospel, and reveal the generous love of Christ.

Noah's Family Gift

Noah’s Family Gift is an initiative through Children Rescue Mission that helps families living in extreme poverty in Nepal meet essential needs and build a more sustainable livelihood. Each family receives livestock—including goats, a piglet, and chickens—along with rice and clothing. These practical resources provide a starting point for families to care for their household and work toward greater stability.

For **$250**, you can provide a Noah’s Family Gift to help a family in need. This Christmas, we invite you to prayerfully consider giving toward this opportunity and partnering in the work God is doing in Nepal. Through this gift, we can help meet immediate needs, support a family’s future, and reflect the generous love of Christ in a tangible way.
