Faithful
“For the LORD is good, and His faithful love endures forever; His faithfulness through all generations.” Psalm 100:5 NIV
Our Almighty, all powerful, sovereign, in-control God never stops His faithfulness and His faithful love is unending—even when we don’t feel or see it. This is our reality when we live trusting the Lord.
When loved ones, extended family or our children’s problems seem to repeat themselves because “God’s best way” was ignored or rejected, what do we do? I’ve shared my opinion many times and it seems to be totally misunderstood, yet while seeking the Lord in prayer I’m recognizing that there is a better way.
Pray and trust my faithful Lord. Leave the matter in His capable hands even when it’s so disturbing and inevitable pain and destruction could be avoided. The Lord reminds me that He is creator and healer and protector. How others learn is God’s business, not mine.
My place and purpose is to humbly continue in prayer, asking for wisdom—and in the small chance He gives His words to share, speak in love and humility. To ignore the problem is wrong because I do have a responsibility to pray, realizing this is the most powerful tool given to us. Many times, He is working in the trenches using others to touch their lives.
God’s timing is perfect. I know for myself before I gave my life to Christ, I heard the gospel message repeatedly over a period of four years. I knew I needed the Lord, yet I wasn’t willing to give up certain habits or relationships. I didn’t realize the biggest love of all was right in front of me stretching out His hands that I might run into them. When I truly looked and realized this, I couldn’t help but surrender all and follow Him. Even though empty and in pain is a hard place to be, it’s the place where God meets us and removes the veil.
2 Corinthians 4:3-5 ESV talks about the gospel being veiled to those perishing (those that don’t want to listen) because the god of this age has blinded them to the true light. But when they turn and look in the face of Christ, the veil is lifted, and they can’t resist His truth and love. Verse 6 says: “For God who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness’, has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.”
This is what I pray believing because our LORD is good, His faithful love endures forever; His faithfulness through all generations! (Psalm 100:5)
Thank you, LORD, for Your all-knowing, wonderful love that passes all understanding and time. We give our concerns for our loved ones to You, knowing You are faithful to hear our cries, and we pray You would lift the veil that blinds so that they could see Your love and truth. In Jesus’ Name.
This is so good, spot-on! Thank you for the reminder that in God’s
hands is the best place for us to leave our concerns about our loved ones. ❤️
You are so right! When a relative sent me horrible messages, I was baffled. It was late at night, so I went to bed, prayed, and left her and her hurtful words with God. Then, I was able to sleep. The next day I prayed and messaged the person I was told I had hurt and apologized for whatever I had said or done to hurt her. She said I had done nothing wrong, she loved me, and to disregard what the angry person had said. I’m praying for all of us that the misunderstanding would be cleared and forgiven. When the load is too heavy, give it to God.
