The Team at Walk His Way would like to wish you a very happy and safe 4th of July!

He Sees Us

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10a

This short verse is packed full of meaning for us who are going through trials or suffering. When we are facing the Goliaths in our lives, when our world seems to be crumbling around us, know that God is God. We were not meant to face these situations on our own or in our own strength. He has all things totally in His Almighty Hands. Where we can only see the present, He sees the whole picture; even the end of our trouble is in His sight. “He guides us with His eye” (Psalm 32:8). He leads us according to what He can see, which are things that we can’t see. He is always watching. He who created all things can surely calm the seas. Nothing is too hard for Him.

One of my favorite verses that really helps me when going through trials is Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.” He gives His gifts to us through His Holy Spirit: His strength, His comfort, and His peace, so that we will be able to agree with His Word and say, “I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

When we are going through difficult times, there is a lesson to be learned as we learn to trust the Lord more and more. We certainly go through a lot of different emotions when we are in a time of suffering, but He is changing us to become more like Him. We must not lose sight of the fact that He goes into those fiery furnaces with us. “He will never leave us nor forsake us” (Hebrews 13:5).

Stay in the Word, study His Word, and spend time with Him. He is closer than a brother. “Be still and know that He is God.”

We praise You today, Lord, for Who You are. We thank You for caring about us and caring about what we are going through. Keep us close to You. We love You. Your Name is Wonderful! There is power in Your Name, Lord Jesus! Amen.
