In God We Trust

A Mini Devotional

“He delivers and rescues; He works signs and wonders in heaven and on the earth, He who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.” Daniel 6:27 ESV

This passage of scripture was spoken by King Darius after he witnessed God’s deliverance in rescuing Daniel from the power of lions.

God’s power is above any circumstance that we may face on our journey with Him on this earth. It was God’s power that protected Daniel when he was surrounded by lions in the lion’s den by shutting their mouths; and Daniel was delivered because he had trusted in his God.

When we are brought to our knees in prayer in times of trouble, it is our part to fully trust in God to rescue us, allow His peace to surround us, and watch Him perform the impossible.

God continues to work signs and wonders in heaven and on the earth. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 ESV). Is there a fear you are facing today that you need to trust God to deliver you from?

Lord, we lay our troubles at Your feet today. We trust in You. Amen.
