A Mini-Devotional
“Blessed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplications!” Psalm 28:6
Many years ago, I sought counsel from a Christian professional during a very difficult time when I was struggling with a relationship.
I needed answers so I could be at peace again. My life was being disrupted, and I was an emotional mess, all-consumed with my dilemma, longing for a return to normal. I had a decision to make, and presented my case with much weeping and hopelessness. “What should I DO?” I wailed.
This mature believer spoke these words into my life: “You will know. God will show you. He is the great Problem-Solver.”
It wasn’t what I was hoping for, but it was just what I needed. I sought the Lord all the more; I pressed in to Him every day, begging, pleading, praying, seeking His answers until the answer came, and with His answer came peace.
I continue this pattern of seeking diligently after Him to this day, and He has never failed me.
Man will fail. God will not.
God cannot fail.
Lord, we can be profoundly deaf. Open our ears to Your Word to us, for You have the keys of life. Amen.
