“Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.” Isaiah 35:6

We Are Important to Our Lord

O Hallelujah

Get ready, a refreshing does come, the Lord is faithful

and He’s going to pour forth out of the life of His Son.

I see as it were the river of the Lord descending in the midst of thee,

descending to set your spirit free.

Ah the pressure, the cloud of despair that causes you to cry out–

doesn’t anyone hear, doesn’t anyone care?

The Lord says, In your midnight seasons I will gather unto you

and take you in My arms,

tenderly I will speak even the words of life into thee.

O get ready, you’re getting ready to be set free.

I just see it, just like something has been waging against you,

to rob you, to destroy you,

but the Lord says, Daughter

I am going to restore everything that the canker and the palmer worm has taken.

I am going to replace that which the caterpillar and the locust has destroyed

and suddenly you’re going to find out that

the joy of the Lord is your strength.

O get ready,

you’re going to dance, you’re going to leap,

with joy you’re going to come to a place where you see

that the Lord has totally rid you of the enemy.

Ah, He’s going to cause a blessing in your life to be restored

to such a place that He’s going to reach out from you and

touch the creation about you,

and your heart will rejoice for you will know that

you are important, important to your Lord.

Hallelujah.

1995–I thought I was attending a seminar on developing your gift of prophecy, not being prophesied over. Had I known what it was, I wouldn’t have gone. God knew that and He knew what I needed to hear: He knew and cared about the midnight seasons, He had heard my cries of despair. He was going to restore me and others around me. There were many more midnight seasons, ones I did not think I would survive, but in His strength I did, as I will survive the next ones that come.

I had forgotten about the prophecy, and found it again in 2013 as the Lord took me on a deeper journey to freedom. I saw the pieces that were fulfilled, the blessings He had poured out in the midst of tragedy, the ways He was working to fulfill it even more. One demonstration of the “Joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10b) was found in my beautiful youngest daughter, His gift to us in 2003. He gave me that verse for her, and the name He gave her means Joyous Song in Hebrew. Oh, how He longs for our hearts to rejoice in the knowledge that we are important to our Lord.

Father God, I pray for those walking in midnight seasons. Please remind them You are with them, You hear and You care. May we each hear the love of Your tender voice speaking life and setting us free. Amen.
