“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” 1 John 3:1 NIV

Walk In His Blessings This Day

I recently signed an email with the saying, “Walk in His blessings this day.” I never had done this before, and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I was amazed at what power those six little words carry.

If we truly went about our day walking in the power of all His blessing upon us, what we could do for His Kingdom! How we would speak to His people! The love we would show others, true agape love—because we wouldn’t hold anything back for fear of being hurt or rejected!

We would know that He will never reject us. His love sustains us beyond what others think or do towards us. We would walk in the freedom that Christ walked in, regardless of the fact that He knew who would betray and deny Him. The thing He knew above all else was that His Abba Father loved Him. “As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Remain in My love” (John 15:9 HCSB).

Christ was blessed and so He, in turn, was a blessing to others. He healed the sick and lame, drove out demons, loved the unlovable. As His disciples believed, they did likewise. “And they were driving out many demons, anointing many sick people with olive oil, and healing them” (Mark 6:13 HCSB).

Ponder this: What would our lives look like if we walked in the fullness of His blessings this day?

Lord, help each of us first and foremost be blessed with the knowledge of how much You truly love us, and then help us walk out our lives with others in a way that would show it. Amen.
